Biela's Comet: Twin Comets

I am putting together a Baha'i childrens lesson right now for our class laster on today and I really got into the research of it. Most people know the story of Christ's Birth, how there was a special star that lead the Wise Men. Well, there is a similar parallel in the Baha'i Faith and I wanted to find the facts about it. In the Baha'i Faith, there were twin messengers/prophets (Manifestiations) of God; The Bab and Baha'u'llah. The Bab's mission came first..similar to John the Baptist, His role was to open the "gate" to the Promised One. DIY Kiwi Arbor

For a couple of years, I have wanted to grow kiwi and to build an arbor for them to grow. This Spring, it developed into a plan, but at first I did not know what kind of arbor to make. At one point, I had an idea of an elaborate arbor that doubled as a tire swing for the kids, but such a project would have been quite consuming, and someone mentioned that the kiwi might attract bees, so having an arbor doubling as a rigorous play area, might not be the wisest choice. Swinging around might upset the bees and cause many stings. There are many things to consider in beginning a project. Where to place it; how to design it. We decided that simple was best. My neighbor has a beautiful tall arbor with at least 6 to 8 posts; and her kiwi is very tall and expanded. Our yard is much smaller; and I did not want to have to stand on a ladder that tall to harvest and prune kiwi. Hence, we have a short 2 posted arbor. Our Curriculum Review

After 1.3 years of homeschooling we have tried out quite a few different curricula, and I'm sure if you are a homsechooler you have too, or perhaps you are just beginning and want to hear from other people about what has worked for them. I will attempt to categorize by subject and degree of satisfaction as well as to give a brief description. The curriculum or resources I LOVE or RECOMMEND are in RED. Online We are doing a Virtual school this year and have had the opportunity to sample a couple of online options. My son and daughter had different experiences/successes with the online options. After seeing how they work, I am not a big fan. There are definitely some good points to them, but I think personally, after this experience I am leaning towards paper and paper with experiential options. Pros in general : Supposed independence.
