I am putting together a Baha'i childrens lesson right now for our class laster on today and I really got into the research of it. Most people know the story of Christ's Birth, how there was a special star that lead the Wise Men. Well, there is a similar parallel in the Baha'i Faith and I wanted to find the facts about it. Our Curriculum Review

After 1.3 years of homeschooling we have tried out quite a few different curricula, and I'm sure if you are a homsechooler you have too, or perhaps you are just beginning and want to hear from other people about what has worked for them. I will attempt to categorize by subject and degree of satisfaction as well as to give a brief description. The curriculum or resources I LOVE or RECOMMEND are in RED. Online We are doing a Virtual school this year and have had the opportunity to sample a couple of online options. My son and daughter had different experiences/successes with the online options. After seeing how they work, I am not a big fan. There are definitely some good points to them, but I think personally, after this experience I am leaning towards paper and paper with experiential options. Pros in general : Supposed independence. Beginner Sewing and Knitting: Taking back the skillz

Here is my first apron that I just finished about a week ago. In part of my journey towards a sustainable lifestyle, I am determined to learn some of the skills that have been on my bucket list for years! I have always enjoyed crafting..As a child/youth, I made many a latch hooking, as a teen and college student, I got into oil painting, but I always wanted to know how to knit and sew. In 6th grade I took a home ec class and briefly learned to use a sewing machine, but didn't pursue it, because I thought it was not the "college track"--Even though, I enjoyed it, I did not think it was a class "worthy" of the track towards "success" and "being college educated". (what a snob I was)--and I really wasn't a snob.. especially in junior high..I was kind of shy and nerdy and not in the hip group..but I was a popular wanna-be-for sure!
